I love making rosaries, and I especially love the process when something or someone inspires me.
When I think of Pope Francis, I think of a man who is humble. A man who is a servant of God.
I bought the new Pope Francis rosary center that is being made in Italy. They do such beautiful work. This quality, detailed, die cast rosary centerpiece features the image of Pope Francis, with the papal seal on the back along with his humble motto “Miserando atque eligendo”. His motto means “lowly but chosen”. It translates literally in Latin as “by having mercy, by choosing him”.
I am going to pair it with the Pope’s official cross, which is Christ the Good Shepherd carrying the lost sheep on his shoulders, with the flock in the background.
When I listen to Pope Francis speak and interact with people of all walks of life, I know that he sees us each as unique children of God. All loved equally. All being called home. That’s why the beads I chose for this special rosary are Autumn Marble beads. Each one is unique with different shades of grey, brown, and rust. Each one different. Each one special. I’m just waiting for the Faceted Autumn Marble beads that I ordered for the Our Father beads to arrive. I can’t wait to show you when I finish! God bless.
